Gessner Engineering provided geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) services for the new City Hall for the City of College Station. This project includes the construction of a three-story, 79,000 square foot building to replace the existing City Hall. The new facility will serve as the central hub for city government operations, offering modern office spaces and enhanced accessibility for the community.
As part of our geotechnical services, Gessner Engineering drilled 9 borings to a depth of 35 feet within the perimeter of the proposed building and 4 borings to a depth of 6 feet within the proposed parking area. These borings helped inform the foundation design, ensuring the new City Hall is supported by a solid, stable base. Our team’s expertise in geotechnical analysis and materials testing played a key role in delivering a safe and durable structure for the City of College Station.
