Bell Park
Structural
Bell Park was designed to improve community connectivity and features a network of trails linking to existing adjacent paths, supported by integrated site structures and amenities. Gessner’s team conducted a comprehensive review of geotechnical reports to evaluate foundation and framing options, ensuring structural stability and longevity. Scope elements included the design of foundation systems for prefabricated restrooms, pergola structures, and seat walls, as well as site walls and light pole foundations. Additionally, we designed elevated walkways to connect paths over creeks and low points in terrain.

One of the key challenges of the project was navigating the site’s varied topography and ensuring that new trails could cross existing creeks without disrupting hydrology.
Solutions
To address this, our team designed elevated walkways that allowed seamless pedestrian access while eliminating the need for additional drainage infrastructure. This solution not only simplified coordination for the civil engineer but also enabled the landscape architect’s vision to take shape without compromise.
